The present day owner. Mr Caporali. has had restoration work started on the building which was declared a site of historical and artistic interest in 1964 by the Italian government and as such is protected by special legislation.The quaint town of Este is also well worth a visit. The most important building in town is the Castello Carrarese. built in 1339. A trip to the National Museum with its Etruscan finds is also recommended. as is sampling the areas wonderful wine and food.The perfect place for fans of walking and bike riding. the villa also makes a great base for visiting Padua. Vicenza and Venice as well as the entire Colli Euganei area with its wealth of spas and golf courses.
