La Scheggia is a small medieval borgo. It consists of a large farmhouse with seven apartments and three homes. The borgo is surrounded by a large garden. There is a football field. a ping pong table and a shared swimming pool. Great care was taken during the restoration of the borgo to preserve the wonderful rustic atmosphere. The wooden beams and terracotta floor tiles are simply gorgeous. The apartments have typical rustic furniture. La Scheggia is at an altitude of 600 metres and between the regions of Tuscany and Umbria. It is very quiet and enjoys breathtaking views. The nights are wonderfully cool in summer. There are many excellent walking paths in the surrounding hills and woods. You will also find some ancient castles. The two very old towns of Anghiari and Sansepolcro are nearby and are well worth a visit.
