The Pico do Areeiro is a peak located on the island of Madeira. With 1818 meters of altitude, it is the third highest peak of the island, after Pico Ruivo (1861 m) and Pico das Torres (1851 m).
Pico do Arieiro enters the Central Mountain Massif, being the third highest point of the island of Madeira.
Consisting of rugged mountains and slopes covered with eucalyptus and laurels make this landscape unique and spectacular. When climbing (about 900 meters), you can cross the clouds to see if there is a sunny landscape of volcanic rocks.
From Pico do Areeiro you can enjoy the panoramic and breathtaking views where the clouds float on the spectacular mountain formations - it is indescribable. Depending on the weather, you can see the Curral das Freiras, the south coast and the island of Porto Santo.
